Newby
Hi all I’m new to 4x4s so thought I would get on here and show my project and hopefully there is plenty of knowledge here that can help me out. I’ve just got a 2005 terrano and it has a small rust issue that I’m planning on fixing.
Just wondering if anyone has had similar issues and managed to find replacement panels or just made their own |

Welcome aboard and I’ve been there done that and bought the tee shirt, as said doable.
I cut out the rot to good metal and simply made plates and welded in. Elty on here has a project thread with photos of how he fabricated a complete boot floor amd wheel arches. Whilst you are in that area on that year of truck check the rear spring top mounting on the chassis, they rot but can be fabricated. Probably easier to do by cutting boot floor and replacing from above. |

Blimey, that rot makes me feel good about a rusty edge I found today under the fuel pump access plate on my '97 Terrano.

Oh it’s been fun that’s for sure.
Apart from this in the rear it has a small hole in the wheel arch at the front and everything else is solid should get a good few more years out of it from all this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
