Top Gear will be dropping down the gears
Jeez Top Gear will be terrible, not just have they got one of the most irritating people as the main presenter but they're also getting rid of May and Hammond. Are the beeb serious, they've given him a three year contract. They'll be lucky to have three episodes before it's dropped.
I get it that Clarkeson had to go because of his behaviour but this is pants. I guess the three amigos will be finding a new programme to make on channel five or something. |

Petrol Head or what ?
At least Chris Evans is a genuine Petrol Head if he has some good co-presenters it could work but for me the chemistry between Clarkson, Hammond & May was very watchable.
I loved the fact that Clarkson did his best to be non- PC in a humourous way. RIP the old team. Trouble is I find Evans a bit irritating so was never of fan of TGIF etc. |

Top gear the car show that had very little to do with cars and more about 3 pricks ego's, best decision the bbc have ever made. Not saying it will be any better with evans. As you may be able to tell im not a fan.

TG with the three previous presenters made for epic television - sometimes. The last years they seemed to have lost inspiration, and sought more and more confrontation.
Don't really know the new presenter, but I'm willing to give it a try |

Yes, but it's the fee that allowed Top Gear to slag off brands and cars. In the real world not all publicity is good publicity, so I can't see a car manufacturer wanting to advertise in a commercial car programme that has just slagged off its latest offering.
Never really had time for Evans, but we'll see where it goes. My main concern is what's going to happen to my mate The Stig. At the end of the day, it's just a TV programme and if I don't watch it I won't die. I think in the ultimate days of Top Gear the team were getting more and more desperate in order to shock and it became a little tired. |

I know Evans is a serious petrol head and is well into charity runs with his cars and other celeb mates cars, so he should know what he's talking about and may create a good show, time will tell.
I wonder how many people now hate caravans because of Clarkson's hate and demolition of them, I didn't mind TG but sometimes they wrecked some bloody nice motors and I found that very annoying. |
