Default Got me some sick leave

As you probably all know I work in a hospital. Well yesterday I finished my shift and left work on my mountain bike, I got about a mile down the road and had a fall due to a t#%t in a car who although stationary at a set of traffic lights obviously didn't like the fact I was filtering through to the front and decided to pull in towards the curb to stop me. Fair enough but they did this as I was along side them and in trying to ensure I didn't hit their car I fell . As a result I now have a broken wrist . Wish I had fired some f#%^s into them now the selfish bar stewards. Anyway on a lighter note I now have a very manly cast on my arm ( pink with glitter ). Lol

Thanks for the kind comments folks.
Im hoping it doesn't keep me off my bike for too long. One thing is for sure, it wont stop us from going away for the weekend in our tintent next week.
The daughter dared me to have the pink cast, so when they asked if I wanted glitter aswell I thought why not...in for a penny, in for a pound. Plus it will go nicely with all the gay chrome on my Patrol

Ouch.

I am just doing some painting in "fondant fancy" pink at the moment and it looks the same colour. I am so glad we are all feeling so safe in our masculinity on here.

Hope you heal quickly.

sent from my phone, sorry for any typo's.

If you had their Reg number, you could call the Police, pity you didn't hit the car, as he would have been in the SH1T with the law.
If a motor vehicle hits a cyclist, it's the motor vehicles driver that is in the wrong, unless they can prove the cyclist was riding their bike in a dangerous manor.
Doesn't sound like you were.

TBH I was too embarrassed about falling and just wanted to get on with my journey which isn't like me as im normally the first to kick off at eejit's. And I think with this case it would have been my word against their's.
Like a true boss I still rode the rest of the way home about 3 miles with a gradual climb all the way, one handed.
I didn't drive myself to hospital afterwards to get it checked though

ORIF or MUA?
I chose a pink/orange scotchcast striped mix for mine when I had one. My girls loved it and it lit the room up at night saving somewhat on electricity!

Sorry to hear of your pain, do you want me to see if I can find you a "stress ball" for when it comes off? You will be amazed at the muscle wastage in even a short period of immobility.
