Default got a 1997 lwb 2.7 terrano 2

thought I would say hi have brought this about 4 weeks ago and love it.
its a lwb 7 seater job in green has a few issues like when engaging 4 wheel drive on mud stood still then pull forward sometimes you hear and feel a bang.
both passenger side windows don't work .
apart from a hole in the sil it don't seem bad at all

just one other problem has a bit of a misfire if you rev the engine freely it misfires at about 2000rpm and when under load on light throttle

Hi and welcome, sounds like your auto hubs are lacking grease/attention, look on the downloads, Rick

10 spike ground anchor, with multiple straps and blocks
Super strong body cills capped with scaffold pole
20% stronger springs all round
aggressive off road tyres on wheels so just swap.
Aim to get stuck and be completely self sufficient in extraction, love getting muddy, 2ft deep is good but rare.

What MAF you got Bosch or Hitachi, Bosch self cleaning Hitachi not, Rick

maf is flat to the intake pipe if that makes it any different lol


hubs will look at and grease them up.

Welcome to the club. Your MAF will probably need a clean, its an Hitachi and doesnt self clean. Use electrical contact spray CAREFULLY in the thin wires.

For the doors, clean the switches first, failing that, remove the dfoor panels and check the connectors but before all that, check the fuses!

As Rick says, bang is likely the auto hubs need a good service as per the download section.

Tried it on veg oil 50% and when warm it makes it hunt a little at tick over and makes the misfire worst. Will clean maf see if that makes it any better I also have a ford transit that runs 100% veg in summer will be giving the terrano some tlc soon
