Smile Some old names still around !

Just popped in to see who is still active on here - I still have my Jeep GC WK that indirectly replaced our old Terrano r3mR - still have fond memories of the Terrano.

Default Still Here

Not as frequently as I would like. My depression means that most days I lose interest after 1700 and just read the papers on my Tablet. I still have Terri, she is having some welding done for the MOT.
Just returned from a campsite at Cirencester as luck would have it the mid weekend had the Cotswold Show on the Parkland next to the site, spent an interesting 15 mins watching ferret racing

Highly recommend the Club site.

Hi Jim,
I still have contact with a member from Sheffield who also moved to a Grand Cherokee.
I did enjoy the odd read of rustygates trip to Alaska I did wonder if Briggie is still alive & kicking?

Cheers Ted

Briggie is still kicking around but not sure how often he checks in here anymore though.

I've just returned like a Prodigal Son

I still have Ruby (03 / 2.7).

Don't drive much now(496 miles betweenMOTs last year).
Just had 4 new tyres fitted, because the side walls had weathered 🤣🤣

Wow that’s half as much as my Mav did and I thought that was small, less visits to the filling station

That’s something I am going to price up tomorrow is tyres.

Talking Geat to read the stallwarts are still going!

Thanks for the greetings.

Due to general old age I have stopped even doing oil changes on our motors I use a local 'old school' garage in the village. Like others here my mileage has dropped now to around 2k a year.

I've not given up mechanical work completely just scaled down to motorcycles over the last couple of years. Bought a Honda CB400/4 super sport at the start of lock down in 2021, it had not run for 12 years so did a nut & bolt restoration. Only done around 250 miles on her since May 2022 so not run in yet. Bike is really too small for me hence I bought a slightly taller bike a CB500 to restore.

Currently repeating a similar project on the 50 year old CB500 K1 keeps me out of the pub at lunchtime.

Sounds like you’re enjoying the motorcycle life. Certainly a lot lighter than a large vehicle. I know only too well how heavy they are, even lifting a wheel onto the carrier on the tailgate and of course what used to be simple putting a wheel on the wheel studs.
