Insurance Prices
I really don’t understand insurance prices at all.
We have one of these multi car policies. The project truck is £320 but the 3litre is £600? Totally nuts the prices difference isn’t it. Mind you I’ve never had a quote for a Terrano as cheap as £320 These latest prices are after negotiating with them too. |

Multi-car policies
We run 3 motors and I have never got a cheaper deal than having separate policies. Added bonus was when the Wife wrote off her previous motor I was able to knock her off the other two policies until the penalty period was spent.
I suspect that due to the different types of vehicles we have providers can't cover all of them at a good price. Have heard that once you are on a multi car deal you can't split back into 3 separate NCB to take cover elsewhere - this might have changed now that more companies offer it. Our SL cost £227 with Saga, BMW is £352 with NFU, Jeep is £377 with NFU. Could have shaved about £50-60 off the BMW & Jeep renewals saving about £110 with other providers but the cover is excellent with lot's of things being included with breakdown cover even though old vehicles. All fully comp too. |

I was gutted last year when I got over that certain age and tried Saga for the laugh, they were one of the more expensive for me. Allegedly we all have our own NCB that we can takeaway if we wish to.
Insurance seems to vary with insignificant differences not just area. Even giving your occupation a different name can make a huge difference. |

Random numbers game, it's the biggest legalised form of fraud!!!!
My 21 year old brother can get insured for £1500 a year on a 2.0 Clio 197 but they wanted over £3000 to insure a 1.6 Fiesta
