Post FAILED M.O.T. Today...

Dirty Frog failed its MOT today but will be re-tested & pass next Saturday
It failed terribly

Here comes the list...

01 o/s ball joint access movement

02 n/s steering idler access movement

03 only pulling 80% on hand brake,should be 120%

Over the moon with that

Done the handbrake & idler today & ordered to new ball joints,do both sides in 1 hit

Well i put new pads on the front
Unsized the front pistons
New cylinders on the rear
Rear shoes
Rear spring kit
Guess what... i have brakes

But even with that the handbrake was still poo & Ive had problems with it from day 1

But not anymore

Wound the handbrake right out
Adjusted the shoes
Machined the drums
Sanded the pads
Adjusted the handbrake
122.5%

Thumbs up meercat... simples...

Slacken ya handbrake cable right off both at the handbrake inside & at the hubs.
Sand ya pads to roughen them up & clean em.
Machine ya rear hubs or sand them to clean & smooth em.
Adjust ya shoes so ya got brakes again.
Then adjust ya handbrake.
Job done.
But...

Like me you may need a spring kit.
There was so much difference between the old & new.
