Hi Bud, i was just saying you can tell when your ashtray was made and in my case ( ive a sticker ) the date my car was assembuled..

Hi,
Im looking for a fuel tank c/w pump for a 1993 Maverick 2.4i petrol. Have you got one and how much would it be? Would have to be in good nick and the pump removable so I can give the inside a good clean prior to fitting.
I suspect my tank is full of crap and the pump is getting knackered. Went to take the pump out to check it and the top of the tank and bolts for the pump are seriously corroded and dont want to risk trying anything without a spare to hand!

The problem you are having removing the bolts from the top of the tank is typical i dont have a good tank you should be able to get the bolts off i use a hex socket usually next size down from original due to corrosion.Have you tried draining the tank from the plug on the bottom to let the dirt out?.I do have a good pump available if you need one on the plus side the pimp just unclips from the bottom of the tak once you have removed the lid. I'm looking for a Fuel Injector Pump for a non-intercooled (1995) Terrano 2.7, specifically the diaphragm cover plate (held on with 4 bolts and just visible under the manifold). If needs be I'll be interested in the whole pump, but would prefer the plate only. Also have you a glove box lid in grey please, LWB model.
