Seems like you may be a good member to ask what your views are on the benefits of fitting -'tune-it boxes or other systems that reckon to save fuel and/or improve performance. I have a 3.0ltr auto 53 reg.Terrano, and am seriously considering fitting a tune-it box or any other device that will both uplift performance and mpg. I want to keep the motor but running two cars is now becoming expensive. Any thoughts from you or anybody with experience of this type of system would be very much appreciated. Mike.P |

Hadn't seen this topic yet.
By trade I am an airline pilot, flying both short- and longhaul. Not to bad the occasional few days in the sun. Before becoming a pilot I worked as a airframe & powerplant licensed aircraft engineer with a specialization in powerplants. Still hold a current EASA Part66 B1 license. As a side business to my flying I have a small demolition company and we operate 2 360 excavators and some smaller equipment. All the above keeps me pretty busy and my project (see Y61 thread) is not progressing as much as I had hoped because of this. |
