Hotel 10 mins from forest. http://www.lawlesshotel.ie/accommodation.html
February is a good time, cheap ferry and probably a reduced rate on accommodation too. Ferry is about £160 return (you are planning on going back, aren't you?) Probably best if you could manage Fri-Mon or even Sat-Mon. I am planning on having a look at the place in a couple of weeks and will take plenty of pics of the area. If planning for February the hotel is probably the place to stay but later in the year camping in the forest would be an option. You can register on the Leinster 4x4 website and get access to some of the members possibly being a bit "naughty" in the forest. Registration is free. |
