So your cars may be a bit on the narrow side but 5 pages later only one owner appears to be narrow minded, they say there is always one.

Lets face it no Terrano or Patrol owners where hurt in the making of this thread and I have spotted width comments inspired by this in other threads.

On a lighter note 3 of us going to a Pay & Play in Dumow Essex this Sunday that we have never done before, looking forward to it as meant to be quite a technical site, going with a jeep and a Suzuki both with 4 inch lifts so be interesting to see how my standard Patrol compares. My Patrol grows 2-3 inches Wednesday as 4 big yellow springs arrived in the post for me today, so will need to find somewhere to play next weekend as well.

Kind regards

Russell.

Pretty springs What lift are they and what shocks are you going for ?
As for you PnP session your only issue might be your tyres. What have you got on her ?

Ironman springs giving a 50mm lift but I am expecting a bit more as arch height is about 15mm lower than standard which is probe cos it is the original 10 year old springs on it so have prob sagged a bit.

Not changing shocks at the moment do not need to on patrol if only lifting 2 inch but will probably change them to ironman ones later.

Car currently ha at Tyres on so should be ok have a set of modular with ins turbo special tracks in garage but can't be bothered to change over.

As for pay & play know nothing other than bloke had a site before that was quite technical and this is a new site at dunmow cm6 1es open s at 9:00 on b184 I will just follow my 2 mates down there and see what the craic is with it.

Will post afterwards if we made it and if it is ok.

Kind regards
Russell.

Looking good bud

Set of Pedder's 50mm springs are on the cards for me soon hopefully (now I don't have a bird )

Planning on going for a play myself on Sunday - treated myself to a year's membership for the local offroad place's members club (they only offer it on that basis)

Massive site of reclaimed woodland, used for offroad training by the owner and usable 365 days a year by the club members. Did a bring your own vehicle offroad lesson on it last year and I know that the owner is constantly maintaining and creating new tracks with his digger. Can't wait!

Well I survived it though not sure if finger broken or not as yet but my Patrol was just to long for this site, needed winching out after just 5 mins driving, was basically a field with lots of bomb holes but mine just fell into them on the front bumper and sat on its belly. Ended up going round in the jeep as good approach depart angles and short wheelbase was only way to do it.

Site was very small and crowded so we went green laning instead after a couple of hours.

So good day was had by all but won't be going back here again.

Kind regards

Russell.

PnP is a different world innit ?
Enjoy laning at your pace in the comfort of your own truck on the tyres you have on
To get the most out of PnP I've invested oodles of dosh on tyres and suspension etc .
Awesome trucks as they are , muddy tank traps will always sting you
Enjoy

And you'll spend the next two weekends cleaning off the caked clay and mud from mechanical crevices
