I've just got and fitted end caps on mine. Smartens it up no probs, an excellent addition.

One thing that has crossed my mind though, with the lower cap being such a tight fit, theres potential for any water that creeps in to remain inside.

Any thoughts?

End cap in the back would help and its already fitted but moisture and tin worm get in where a draft couldnt.

The hole drilling is the best bet but because of the cap shape and the way it fits closely internally the hole wouldnt be at the lowest point possible and there'd still be the potential for water to collect.

Hole drilling is the best option though and its already in the diary for tomorrow.

Still excellent tow bars though.

The tow bar points down, so when the caps in it forms a nice water holder at an angle, the bottom bit plastic, the upper level metal! I've just starting cleaning this, it was painted but its taken some stick through the winter:

and as you can see the back of the cap has the fins to hold it tight in which will seal it nicely.

I'm not complaining, far from it, but it crossed my mind that after a winter of free draining it would be a shame if it rusted away internally during the summer lol.

It'll be an easy fix but I wondered, before I take a drill or stanley knife to any part of it if anyone had any ideas

look like a half circle created by a routing bit. either to receiver or bung btw.

Yes the lower hole is the most practical option but it will be about 3/4'' up the way because of the fins and still leaves potential for some moisture to gather.

Thats what I'd planned to do tomorrow but I thought I'd run it past you guys.

Spray the inside with waxoyl and you won't have to worry about rust.

But just remember to that when your in the middle of that lovely campsite on a warm sunny day and the waxoyl has softened, you'll get it all over your hands and hawaiian shirt when you're dismantling the front tow bar.

Thats why I "degreased" mine, not that I wear a hawaiian shirt or go anywhere sunny
