It's not so much that they told be to b****r off, it's that they have simply failed to reply to any of my emails over the past few weeks.
I've sent them one more today, I'm not holding my breath. |

No COTAG team is a "one make" group. Each project welcomes applications from volunteers irrespective of make and model of 4x4 owned and driven. COTAG identifies two distinct advantages to this policy. Firstly, it is our belief that it is the quality and commitment of the volunteer not the badge on the car's bonnet that will make the difference. Secondly, whilst some 4x4s are certainly more competent than others, a mixture of makes, styles and performance offers possibilities for a very flexible approach to assisting partner organisations. sounds good to me !. Absolutely - a 90 truckcab or tray back is rubbish for transporting people in - but can come into its own carry goods/supplies - likewise a LWB T2 only the other way around.
Humber-Yorks (soon to be Yorkshire and Lincolnshire) operate a similar policy. I'e not done the maths but suspect non landies to make up 25-50% of the membership with Discos rather than defenders being the landy of choice it seems. The only exception I think is Rover Rescue, who were te original and retain there Land Rover only policy I beleive - wrong IMHO but thats how it is. |

Breckland response team have not said I can't join just that they are landrover based and that i may get a lot of flack and to be prepared for that. I must admit it has put me off a bit but I guess you get this sort of thing anyway don't you. It is a shame when the whole idea is to help each other.
Still I have not been along yet it might be just fine |

here i am, i looked under at the back of my T2 today.. no recovery points as towbar in the way.
so, is it ok to loop the strap over the ball, or get a shakle thats a good fit. Or should i be using some where else at the back. AND at the front is there any reason i cant have TWO of the front loop/hooks? Zippy |
