Had a Galaxy S2, fantastic. Had an Iphone 3GS, fantastic. Now got a Galaxy S3 Fantastic. I really don't use the phones to their potential really but the S3 has a huge screen.

I found battery on all the phones were pants if Bluetooth or WiFi left turned on.

Smart phone, dumb user.

You are now sounding just like my son, except you are at least earning money and looking at buying it yourself! Eldest wants the latest and greatest as his old Xperia pro is rubbish and won't last another day I'm told - strangely my exact same Xperia pro for work is as good as it's always been! Funnily enough the nice shiny ones cost a lot more per month and I ain't paying for it!

A lot of our work mobiles are Galaxy Notes - 1st gen and they are great to start with, but we've had quite a few problems with them varying from general hardware issues and problems with all the stupid software Samsung preload onto them. We've a couple of HTC's and they've both been replaced at least once too (think they are one x's).

I did have a chat to the 'retentions' team at T-Mobile last night and the guy there said that although they can't say anything about release dates for the new iphone, he did say that they have been told that they can't take any holidays after the 20th September as they'll be very busy then. Also, due to the Apple fanboys, the price of new Android handsets will come down a fair bit.

I know you lads like the new fangled up to date phones with all the whistles and bells, but, take a look at Carphone warehouse.
If you walk in with a PAYGO sim card which you have owned for more than (I think) 6 months, you can buy an upgrade to an Huwaei (I can't even spell it), brand new for £59.99, what a brilliant phone ????????????

You can also get a couple of others which are a little more expensive up to about £99.99, but there is no contract and the upgrade phone is yours.

Sorry if you already know, I just thought I would mention it for anyone who is looking for a really stylish, hi tec touch screen phone that rates very very well.

cheers

ok, so the Gingerbread OS on the Galaxy Ace is crap, and i've had enough of it randomly sticking and jamming. so going to root the phone and see about installing Ice-cream-Sandwich, or Jelly Bean....would prefer ICS as it's the same as what's running on the one X and it's great, can't fault it's running

Well got the HTC back from the Romanian guy who fixed it, great, all's well again, ordered a shock proof case for it

Ohh, and ice-cream-sandwich has had a big update

Runs spiffingly now, sold the Samsung galaxy ace too and made 100% of my monies back...a win win
