low 20's mpg would indicate something wrong tbh, i do 25 towing a 1200 tintent up welsh hills with a LOADED truck. we looked a\t a td5 but the mpg and veg oil swayed the terrano. its all about££££££ at the end of the day!

It'll do 28 when driving like a granny, but normally lower, I am going to do a engine rebuilt when I have time, since I'm keeping my truck forever, its not about money, as I know for a fact I'll never make my money back

I used to have traders insurance which covered for personal use only had to tell them what i was driving if it was performance car or over a 3.0 but it worked out cheaper for me as i had 3 personal vehicles and also used to buy and sell the odd car and van here and there.
but at your age your going to be looking at a 3-4k just for normal day to day insurance when you pass a friend of mine not long passed hes 23 and still has to pay 2k + on insurance for a 1.4 ford focus there all just rip off merchants my insurance is up now but i had insurance through dave brewer 24 no no claims to use on the terrano and i payed 600 mods declared before that asda £670 standard truck with the misses on there shes 22 yo 3 yr no claims |

Got to remember Ryan's truck is an older T2 without intercooler. I think our older ladies like to tipple a bit more than the tdi's do. I would be over the moon with 30mpg, rarely get much better than 25-28 when driving gently.
The short commute with pent up work frustration uses much, much more. Go with the veg boyo, your engine will thank you. Mr Diesel invented the diesel engine to use vegetable oil, just cheap car builders prefer the thinner stuff. |

£300 difference between a 2.0L 850 and 1.0L atoz, what i'll see about doing is fixing the atoz up, probably running it a bit, then selling it on for a tidy profit, then getting a 850/V70.....or even 240
start off small and work up |

Going to be selling the Hyundai as its really not my cup of tea, good enough little car, but its totaly impractical for me, thought it would be a good little car for useing until I'm 25 but no, it would drive me nuts, also, parts are ridiculously expensive for what it is, so I'm in the process of getting it MOD'd and then I'll flog it, then get a Volvo as the atoz are making good money just now, anyway, so after a bit of thumb twiddling, pizza Eurovision and internet, I have finally found away of buying and insuring a v70/850
sorry to annoy you all again! |
