Twas a very long time ago... probably Finningley, was with 1239 Sqd.

they did have those at finningley until the 1980s

Just had a thought... for the ultimate aircraft based caravan, I do believe there are large chunks of nimrods up for grabs in the Stockport vicinity...
Piece of fuselage, blank off the ends, tow bar, wheels and away...........................
