I like it. Don't worry about the bumper. Get some miles on it. Enjoy it for a couple of weeks and iron out any faults you find. Then if you still love it, get the bumper sorted.

So drove to my mates last night from purchase and he gave it a quick once over and said it looked good.

Did about 25 miles last night without issue. It will be used daily for commuting until I get my company van.

Couple things I noticed, passenger visor is broken, doesnt stay up.

Is/can this be fixed easily? Or is it time to replace it?

Was just gonna get sticky velcro and use that to bodge a fix just now.

Couple bits are looking tatty, drivers seat started to wear a bit, gear knobs a bit grubby.

Drives nice, just need to get used to the gear ratios and sweet spots for changing etc.

Needs a spare tyre sorted and put back on the rear door.

Swap the gearknob for an earlier plastic one rather than the threaded up ones that just fall apart

Been using it for work around Edinburgh today. Its not bad in the city.

Will pack the kids into it in the next few weeks and hopefully get the weather to hit the beach.

Hard to tell from the photo but if you are going to leave the cracked bumper for a little while it may be worth drilling a small hole at the end of the crack. This will help stop the crack from growing through vibration and friends going "bumpers cracked" then as they always seem to do pushing on it just to check their eyes aren't lying

I expect you know but just incase. Do not use the 4x4 on hard ground as the rear wheels need to slip when cornering so need loose ground to do so.
If you did not get the user manual then paying the £10 gives you access to one on here I believe....think it is there anyway. Others' can confirm...hopefully

thanks for the advice Thomas, will have a closer look at it this weekend.

It has had holes drilled and cable tied together.

Will not doubt be signing up for the members area on here as you guys have been great already.

Just drive it and enjoy it

Mind you think about oil and fluid changes to be on the safe side. Rear diff oil is a important fluid to keep in good order, needs proper Limited Slip Diff oil not gear oil.

Yeah all the earlier ones had nice rubber/plastic moulded ones and fare the abuse a bit better, the newer Terrano's seemed to have been swapped for a "stitch leather" effect knob, but I've yet to see a Terrano yet where the stitching hasn't started to unpick and the "leather" flaps about.

The later ones were bonded onto the shaft as well as screwed into the thread and are a pig to remove, I thought I was pretty strong but it took a set of grips to remove mine Doesn't matter about damaging the old one as you'll not be using it again anyway.

New old one should just screw right back on

As for the sun visor droop, you'll be better off replacing the whole visor as the part that has worn out is integral to the sun visor itself and cannot be swapped, get some pics up of your visor and I'm sure someone will have one that matches your trim
