My solicitor had a word with the prosecutor when the judge turned up. He said it wasn't in the public interest to do me

Judge and all agreed and threw out the case

The clerk said it was a case of an over zealous officer "straining" the publics perception of the police's duty!

Solicitor was awarded his fee from central funds and my claim for losses etc will be in next week
