I assume you've seen this - its their seller non-performance policy? It clearly says you should have had warnings....maybe the nature of your three negs was an issue? Weird...

We expect all eBay sellers to provide consistently good service and to keep buyers satisfied.

If buyers are less than satisfied with a seller’s service during a transaction, they are able to express this in several ways:

* leaving negative or neutral feedback
* leaving low Detailed Seller Ratings (DSRs)
* opening a dispute (on eBay or PayPal) in the event that they do not receive their item or the item is significantly different than described.

eBay applies a weighting to each of these elements of buyer dissatisfaction, and measures it as a proportion of all transactions completed by a seller. If a seller has received at least three buyer complaints, and if those complaints should account for more than 5% of a seller’s transactions over a 30-day period, then a seller is considered to be in breach of eBay’s Seller Non-Performance policy.

When a seller breaches this policy, eBay takes the following actions:

* First breach: Seller will receive a warning from eBay.
* Second breach: Seller's account will be restricted from selling; the seller must resolve any open disputes with buyers.
* Third consecutive breach: Full account suspension.

If a seller should severely breach the policy (for example if a seller’s buyer complaints account for more than a certain percentage of their transactions over a 30-day period), the seller's account will be immediately and fully restricted with no prior warning. If the seller breaches the policy for a second consecutive month, their account will be indefinitely suspended.

How to avoid buyer complaints

We recommend a series of simple practices that sellers should adopt to keep their buyers satisfied and avoid generating complaints:

* Accurately describing the condition, size and quality of the item directly in the listing.
* Honouring the original terms by accepting payment for an item at the end of a successful sale.
* Promptly dispatching the item with appropriate packaging once payment has been received.
* Responding promptly and professionally to questions from the buyer.
* Proactively communicating with the buyer throughout the transaction.
* Issuing refunds in a timely manner when accepting returns or when there are problems with delivery.

we have been in contact with ebay and reading between the lines ''a competitor'' is complaining about all our pics with our website address on.

because this adds up to a lot of complaints we have been kicked for 30 days

@Zippy www.ledconversions.co.uk is back up but the front page is slightly corrupted.

Ebay seem to be a law to themselves.

I was suspended and warned for using trying to sell a PSP I chip I hadnt bothered using.

They said I was encouraging pirating, I pointed out that I preferred to make back up copies and retain originals in mint condition to enable selling at a later date using only the back up copy for my exclusive personal use and not at the same time as the originals (which stayed in the box). At the time and I believe still this case, this is entirely acceptable and lawful and is why the discs say "dont make illegal copies" the illegal bit being the key.

(I was tempted to ask them if they knew it should actually say unlawful because an illegal is actually a poorly bird but I though it would wind them up too much )

They then replied that Sony objected to their machines being modified, I pointed out that it wasnt sony's it was mine I'd bought it (not so sure on this point reverse engineering and all of that) but could they please provide evidence beyond doubt as opposed to their opinion that I was encouraging pirating.

No reply other than "youre suspended"

At the end of the day Darwin especially if you ask nicely (doesnt matter how insincerely ) they'll let you back on because theyre making money on you.

Colin's right, at least one of the ingredients commonly used in bomb-making is also freely available on the Bay as its used in amateur biofuel manufacture.

You can also buy (and the poor old carriers unwittingly ship them) a complete airbag unit....how is that going to behave outside a vehicle in a confined space if, say, static electricity were to set it off?????

I know from experience that eBay takes a VERY UNEDUCATED view of things. I used to collect specialist silver and several times harangued them about obvious fakes, but they refused to listen....but then I wasn't Prada or Nike I suppose....meanwhile people out there get shafted.

All they want is your money people. And their big focus these days is on getting it more easily from fewer people. Soon its just an online department store.

Good to know though that sellers can only be on for a short time have only 77.9% feedback change their selling name and still be selling..
http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayIS...:feedback:3:uk
Yet someone like yourself just gets the boot..
