I know this thread has shot off at a tangent here but, here's a few shots of last years truck prep. Stickered up with sticky things Recovery tow pole, second spare wheel, HiLift jack, sand shovels and sand ladders mounted up top HiLift jacking points welded to rear tow bar The 'flight deck' with switches for additional 12v sockets, 240v inverter, Battery split charge switching, GPS & CB radio.... note the GPS speaker where the clock normally lives. Yellow Top and split charge system The bed is near enough 4 foot x 6 foot and is fabricated from small section angle iron and MDF board. It bolts into the 4 holes either side where the rear inner facing seats would normally be fitted, the front is then supported on steel tubes. It is all removable in about 15 minutes should there be a need to refit the seats. 3 large bins + 4 smaller bins + 2x25L water containers Huge cavernous area under the front of the bed for additional kit The one front half folds down to provide easy access into bed The high roof means there is loads of head room once in bed |
