towing weights

asked Nissan the question when first had my T2, and they came back with 2800kgs. not many vans on the market i wouldnt have thought or boats that T2s wont cope with.

I beleive it maybe down to legisation on towin g in japan and in reality they will tow the same as a t2/mav but I have never had the opportunity to see the capacities for an auto T2

I think it is because alot of auto boxes can overheat when under load so the manufacturers set their limit lower. I have never done this but you can fit auxiliary cooling units to reduce the heat and maybe increase your towing limit (but do this on your own head).
