[quote="willow"]Interesting plank
Will give it a go :wink: It is pretty easy, and you can usualy pick up the alram bits at a boot sale, and old wall mounted alarm box with the bits inside will have all you need! And with a simple circuit is doesnt go off until you turn it off, or replace the trip wire, so it keeps going iuntil the battery is flat. cheap and easy, a blue strobe is good as it has that police car feel to it, so maybe a pschological edge :wink: |

The longest and most difficult thing is getting all the bits, i am a bit of a magpie aqnd keep cables off old hoovers etc so alleays have bits of wire and stuff, bu the thing itself it very quick and easy.
Maybe for next year of not this, if I ever get to Norflok I can come and help you with it :wink: |

f you htink about it the clothes peg trip switch can be used to turn on loads of stuff, a radio or jusy a light etc, or a small buzzer in the house to give you advance warning, but stick to low voltage stuff and include a fuse in the circuit so we have no accidents :wink:
You could even switch one of those stick on 'closet' lights with a bit of ingenuity anyhting to give you a head start on the bad guys, but myself i would ratehr scare them away than tackle them, you saftey isn't worth the risk! So Willow if you must shoot them, get a good story sorted out for the authorities first :wink: maplins do a small thermal trip for about 99p that will reset itself and flip quite quickly if the circuit shorts and overheats |
