Indeed . The guy is no doubt sourcing the components and making the kit package. I bet he doesn't know one drag link from another or that there are diff tapers.
I found with fleabay the more info you give them the less chance they have to wriggle out of sorting things

I always take pictures and send it to the seller as proof they supplied the wrong parts.
Harder for them to try and get out of it.
From what I have read is it the track rod ends that don't fit the Draglink.
If so then he is most definitely in the wrong as the parts he supplied are not compatible.

Just to show you how close they are, you would not tell until it's all bolted together

Yes definately non compatible, could be either part at fault though, too big a hole in the drag link or too small a taper in the tie rods

top marks there elty, but it is more than that, the track rod ends do not have anything like the same amount of up down movement of the originals so at full droop even with stops fitted the balls would have been strained well beyond their limit resulting in the likelihood of the ball being forced out, with potentially disastrous consequences, as soon as I discovered the problem there was no way I would allow Alex to drive it, had we done it on the ground with suspension at normal levels even I could have missed it, but maybe not as I knew adding washers was not right, but towards the end of the day looking forward to my pub steak who knows, Rick

Rick do you think there would have been enough droop available if the taper wasn't stuffed right up the drag link's slot, oo er missus
I mean if the correct taper was in the drag link , the ball shoulder wouldn't be so close to the drag link casting.
If that is possible then it goes back to the drag link itself as the problem and not the tie rods.

I don't see how you are supposed to know which, one is certainly mis sized.

We did breifly try the old tie rods with the new drag link, that did not work, can't remember why

I bought my steering relay arm and tie rod ends, and idler arm all together from Milners a couple of years ago.All fitted as they should Apart from the idler arm (bolt holes didn't line up).I made my order over the phone . Obviously not as easy to chat on the phone when ordering from auction sites. If you have to send these back,be sure that you don't incur any return costs.

Not the case Pete as once I realised what the problem was I had the taper in the drag link loose when I tested this and the tie rod would go no where near the axle, true to say the rubber boots on these were very thick and hard, but I pulled down as hard as I could and no joy, Rick
