Hi there ;Quiz time,
If you are using a diagnostic tool then do you have a consult interface?
What year is is the truck ?
Is it a 14 or 16 pin Plug for the interface?

16pin plug interface, been using a elm327 bluetooth obdm adaptor, torque software on a android tablet, plus varoius software on laptop
2001 model, nothing use has picked up any codes

Car runs fine, I've checked MAF sensor all appears ok, today played around with the turbo wastegate to make sure its moving and its operating at about 1bar which I believe is about right, replaced the rubber tube as it didnt look that good and while it was out and I had some 6.3mm fuelline to hand

Try downloading ECUTalk, the links below .If you can connect your laptop to the interface you should be able to access all the fault codes. if you don't have the means to connect them you will need a 16 pin adapter. I think Banshee was working on these,

isn't yours a 14 pin plug for the fault code reader ? . I got a 14 to 16 pin plug adapter but that does work . so I ended up buying the 14 pin one but I don't have a laptop to plug that in

finally cleared the code, instructions are not that clear as it suggests ingnition should be on but the engine off, cleared the code by having the engine running then disconnecting the link and reconnecting after 2secs, now the Mil light has gone out
will see if it comes back
