Most certainly Thomas.

I only knew Chris through his posts on here but it is always sad when something like this happens.

Thoughts are with the family and friends. RIP

i met chris a couple of times ,we spoke on fb almost every day , he was a true friend and will be very sadly missed , my thoughts to his family .

it goes without saying that if one of our family passes away , we all feel it and demand a fitting tribute .

R.I.P. mate

Woke up this morning and I still cannot believe this news. Plank was a steadying influence on here and posted his knowledge when needed. He was never outspoken and a real gentleman. What an opportunity missed for those of us who never met him.

this is tragic news I cant believe it. I never actually met Chris, but had spoken to him, like many, on the forum and Facebook. A really nice genuine guy who had a lot of time for people. I always liked his calming points of view on the many subjects on here. Its so, so sad, my thoughts are with his family today.

This has been playing on my mind all night and two things have become apparent to me

1. As a tribute I'm going to purchase his book and have a good read of it, still available on Amazon IIRC

2. When the time is right, and things have settled down at home, should we make contact with the family and make them aware of all the posts he has made on here?

He had nearly 8000 posts, the family may not be aware that he came here so often and it may be comforting for them to come on here and read some of the enjoyment he had with us first hand through the good times and the bad

Tell me if that's distasteful but that's what I'd like if I ever passed on, touch wood I don't any time soon, I'm still in my 20's

Although I think he was more active on here before I joined,so I don't recall his posts .Its sad to loos someone from such a friendly community and I can only hope his family will take comfort in the fact that he will obviously be misssed and so fondly remembered

Really sad news

I never got to meet Chris but we had many conversations via PM here. He always spoke his mind and stuck by his strong beliefs. He was also happy to offer help and advice whenever he could.

My sincerest condolences to his family and friends during this sad event.

He will certainly be missed here.

Not long finished reading his second book, seems impossible that number 3 might not now see the light of day. Never met or spoke to you Chris, but I feel I know you through the club and your writings, RIP buddy.
