I do love it mate, but it has it's limitations due to the IFS, I'm still tweaking the setup so not done yet

I'd love to sas it tho

Trol SWB wheelbase is 2.4m or in old money, especially converted just for you Rick, 94.5 incheres ?
So only a tad more than a Landie 90 but it's track is a little wider and so in my world considerable more stable laterally Also has a lower roof profile . So even a lifted one will scratch the roof a little less

Problem with the terrano is the diff is on the passenger side, Not many decent and easily available axles in the UK have this config.

The cherokee front axles would be a good swap (front diff on the left, rear is center) but I read they are pretty weak. I guess it depends on how hard you wheel them.

I've drooled over SAS for ages but now conclude it's not worth it. Just buy a lokka for the front.
You don't get a lot more articulation really for all the work and it's a very lengthy conversion = expensive.
I'd rather spend the money on finding a Trol for example, as it's so strong in every respect straight out the box.
The T2 IFS can be made to flex a lot more than std by rose jointing all the bushes. That and a lokka and good back end flex will make a very very good T2 offroader

Jeep xj Dana 30 is fine upto 35"s or more with cromo axles, closest ratios are 4.1 or 4.5 tho (most Terrano are 4.375)

Dana44 is bulletproof but none in uk

Best option is h233b patrol front, either drill out plug welds and swap tubes and shafts from one side to other to achieve left side drop, or patrol transfer box may fit or swap whole gear box with a bell housing conversion

Early Toyota hilux axle is also a good option and the 4.3 ratio is available, but try finding one
