Yes when engine warms up that is when it cuts out unless I reverse or put car on full lock then that will sometimes do it?went to halfords to get some egr valve cleaner sprayed it into the air intake and took the car for a spin up the motorway, when accelerating on motorway there was a flat spot on the car this happened a few times so don't know if the cleaner was working ? And thanks to everyone who has offered advice

Engine cutting out on an automatic is a nightmare.
When its cold you are running much richer so problems show up after warm up.

I would check basics like all induction pipework on the inlet side, air cleaner, turbo & intercooler pipes etc. Then check for inlet manifold leaks as bolts can shake loose.

As others have mentioned mini filter if it has one and fuel filter. After that get fault coded read.

yes it is a TDi, so all fly by wire, sounds to me like a problem I had today on my very ill used off roader, check the throttle assembly extreme top of pedal, it should be silky smooth, if it is sticky the ecu go's into limp mode and pedal becomes very sensitive, Rick
