Hyundai Atos expedition vehicle
well, i know it's not Nissan related but i thought i'd create this thread on the modding of my little car, made a wood-rack and also a roof console/storage, still need to mount things to it as I'm fitting a light over where the wing nut is so that'll be hidden, also want to have the amateur radio mounted up their with the mic as well. also, drop-down storage cubby holes, and a outside thermometer , the wood-rack as i call it, but you all know them as a fence or gate will be getting stained so it doesn't rot, then i'll be able to put bikes, supplies etc up their for when i'm camping out or on long journeys
i'll be also fitting spotlights and a split-charge, would like to lift the suspension but having sub-frames and not separate chassis, i do not know to to do it Click here and scroll down to bottom of page to see the new pics |

Ohh taken the car for a spin and the breaks failed when coming down a hill approaching a narrow bridge, had to slow down with the handbrake and gears just burst break pipe though, so I'll just replace the brake lines |

go for it, be suprised what you can do with 2wd, only got to look at the trialing club
scene, where buggies, beetles all sorts climb some impressive tracks, no proper 4x4s in sight. when i first got into landy/4x4 scene was sometime til could get one and having read od laning attempted several derbyshire routes in my escorts of the day, rwd's, including houndkirk road which took an age as had to get out often and read the route. in later years explored some tracks in a front wheel drive maestro, indeed lived on a farm so had many opportunities, the farmer didnt even have a 4x4, just an old 2wd mazda pickup, with plenty of weight in back always had plenty of traction.
