ok so ur speedo says ur doin 30 and satnav says u aint? its getttin confusing now because before it was being said that speedo reads 30 satnav reads above, if ya sat nav is reading lower than ya speedo then its common with most cars, i've had at least five cars where the speedo says 30 but the satnav says 25, its all to do with tyres sizes,,,,,,,,,look it up

Don't have sat nav. Tyres are standard as per manufacture spec. Maybe speed thingys on road side are set a bit high?

doesn't answer the question tho,,,,is ya speedo readin higher than ur actual speed or lower than ur actual speed? as said its tyre sizes i run 33's they run about spot on so when my speedo says i'm doing 30 or 70 thats the speed i'm doing

Sorry! Your'e right. I got it wrong way round. The original question was as you say, speedo reading too low not too high. Tyre size would seem the most obvious reason. Thanks for the correction.

Again, your'e correct. When I did increase tyre size for a while speedo was more or less in line with speed signs on side of road.

A bit of a tangent I know but anywhere on here you have posted a picture of your truck with those Kuhmo 33's. Would like to see that.

'Makeitfit' will be along soon with a cure.....

The Big question is.... Have our T2's done LESS Miles than it shows??????? I'm testing this tomorrow.....
right did a steady motorway journey. Google maps had it at 45 miles. I zero`d the trip.. At journeys end it read 49.7miles. Out by 4.7miles on a 45mile journey.

Based on that, our T2's have done 10% less miles than it shows on the clock. This affects MPG calculations too.

This is a very good point.

I have known that my speedo is out by 11% since the day I bought her. I'm not the only one either.
Its no problem at any speed as I compensate accordingly

Speedo 78 mph = actual 70 (11%)
Speedo 70 mph = actual 63 (11%)
Speedo 33.5 mph = actual 30 (11%)

My bus has done a recorded 105k miles = actual 94.5k

My calculated MPG is 25 around town 28 on a run = actual 22.5mpg and 25

It is worth considering.
