copper & stainless both work harden so not as good as people think for brakes ,cupri nickel(cunifer 10 ? when I used to do anything with them) doesnt so is much better long term

Also check....
.......... the fuel pipes - particularly where comes out of tank. Mine had small hole and was diagnose by French garage as fuel pump issue. Zoot alor - but that's anther story. Also ear in mind that they are prone to rot underneath. I have experianced this -n and check the excellent thread by Flying Torquewrench.
