Veg oil will be fine but you'll need to mix with some diesel at this time of year. 50/50 easy but I ran mine neat and put up with the lumpy start
Tesco have a deal on at the mo £4.50 for 5litres Veg oil will also pick up any sludge and muck in the tank and this will choke the filter. Once that's out the way you're good to go and save loads a money |

Excellent!!! So there is no other mods required and the fuel pump is totally fine with it?
It's due a service anyway so I may run some veg through it first then change the filters! How many tanks do u think will clear the sludge? Saving money FTW |

The only mods you could do is to fit various warming devices for winter running with neat veg. Dont bother though just stick a bit of diesel on it. I dont know how many tanks as it depends how much yuk is in there to start with
Just go with it and when things start to slow down a bit, check your filter |

But to be fair the running around you do for veg oil, and the very small cost difference, I don't bother anymore. Especially when you dilute the saving with diesel. I was paying 90p a litre for rapeseed and sunflower oil in the summer and running it at 100%! |
