Pete's does not have the original rad with oil cooler incorporated, but a very big oil cooler albeit not mounted very well ie not in direct air stream, but Pete does not tow although he lives in a very hilly area, but his box failed on the reverse clutch, looked at it today slight metal to metal contact, so think that failure was due to valving problem that was driving the revers clutch when going forward, the other clutches on the box were OK

would it not be worth putting an auto rad on his one . just to make sure there are no other problems .
i have a good auto rad on my manual . (all i could get from the breakers) but id need a manual one in similar condition to replace it |

sally is all fixed up now , thanks to rick , just a few things to tighten and check in the morning .... then im off home ... bluddie long drive , rick and maggs have been great , caravan nice ,warm and comfy ....couldnt ask for more ... so all being well i will be going home tomorrow morning

well im back home ,was a great drive back ..... long and stressfull at times due to volume of traffic and a accident ( not me ) , sally didnt falter one bit , had to stop a couple of times for a rest , but still got home in about 6 hours , so not bad at all ..... all this was thanks to rick and maggs , without whos help i would have been stuck on the south coast , many many thanks to you both for your hospitallity and help

Glad you got back safe, but I have to say I do not want to do another T2 gearbox, admittedly Swifty was not about and he is a lot younger than me and has small strong hands, my hands would just not go in the places you needed, made it really hard work, any way it is sorted now, happy motoring mate, see you when you next arrive, Rick
