ok peps took the plunge and got it from derbyshirs an got home today.
well pleased sills solid wings solid anchor points and boot floor solid.
mot last week,new big battery,new alternator,new rad but all 4 tyres getting low so today my tyre chap has ordered 2 goodyear wrangler a/t for me 225 fitted,only little bit of damage to ns rear bumper easily done by me,i only got 100 off as he new it was at a selling price and he just moved xmas so cant warrant 2 cars for his 5ml a day work trip.
new idler arm arm swivel trends some swivels so think i have a good un.
first trip was 128 miles then 70 home on a tank full,ouch not used to putting full derv in to fill 70 ltre as light on so 10ltr still in tank,got home and filled up to brim and worked out to just over 35mpg at times over 70 but most 65 so pleased.
i have never found out how to post picks.

the blue 98 t2 that i took off roading with some of you that i fitted new steel wings and having sill/inner sill done now and should be moted next week will be up for sale but it wont be cheap as all welding etc done but if someone wants a first time starter reliable 4x4 pm me. banshee and others have seen it.

Excellent sounds like a lovely motor. I use photobucket to upload photos. Upload your photo into photobucket, click on the photo you want to use and there'll be a image link to copy and paste into your thread

Fair play Panelbeater!!!!! They are lovely lovely things to drive, my grandads is a delight and power to boot.

I'm really surprised you've gone for the 3.0 litre though as you're a devout wvo man, you wait till I grass you up on the other forum Just kidding your secret is safe with me.

You are going to have to dig deeper than you have been to fuel the beast now mate but on the other hand I'm sure you'll enjoy not having to faff around with dirty veg now, I don't miss it one bit.

As for uploading photo's I did a write up on it a while ago, easy once you've done it a few times pal;

will keep 2 of the 3 i have so still use wvo.
blue one ready for sale next week.
green one waiting for the new wings and bumper,will start that befor easter but having another pacemaker fitted 13th april so will try to get it done befor.
