As a tree surgeon/forester, I've been using these saws for years......
https://www.qualitygardentools.com/p...bat-330mm-saw/ I've worn out 3 of the above model, and would recommend them above all others. I would strap the scabbard to my leg, with the saw attached on a long leash, this model will cut through 6" green Oak, with ease. I used my small Stihl saw, far less in favour of the silky for high pruning. But, and it is a big but........they are fearsomely sharp......so much so that you can have a severe cut......and not know it until you see the red stuff.....they take no prisoners......Mea culpa......ouch...

How things move on, I now have a Solar powered chain saw, cuts 300mm logs with ease, Rick

Ex banger racer now off road maniac Lokka on the front with manual hubs Diff lock on rear 3 inch SS straight through exhaust Manly winch bumper with 13000 lb winch 10 spike ground anchor, with multiple straps and blocks Super strong body cills capped with scaffold pole 20% stronger springs all round aggressive off road tyres on wheels so just swap. Aim to get stuck and be completely self sufficient in extraction, love getting muddy, 2ft deep is good but rare. |
