I was in the army at the time of the war,but due to being else were at the time I didn't get there anyhow the main reasoning for us going and give the Argis a good kicking was to tell the rest of the world including Argis that if you take anything of ours by force then you are in for a fight, at about the same time Spain was kicking off about Gibraltar so the action in the south Atlantic was also a warning to them. Also another lesser point was down to what the people of the islands want and they don't want to be south american. All in all it was down to a bit of muscle flexing on the part of the UK.
