And for the benefit of FT, this is where the 6 bolt dust seal rubs on the hub, guess this will not be so on the Y61, but for me it does give added protection from Slindon mud, Rick

Sadly I cannot get that in my lathe to get rid of that groove made by the old seal so a drill powered wire brush will have to do, Rick

No, on the Y61 there is more then enough clearance between the grease catcher and the hub. Wonder why they changed the design between the two models.

Lovely new shaft seals arrived today so all set now to complete the NS drive shaft job but has taken a back seat to the pump issue, Rick

Aim to get stuck and be completely self sufficient in extraction, love getting muddy, 2ft deep is good but rare.
