Wrong. He's British. UK law allows citizenship to descend one generation to any children born abroad. But if that child stayed in Pakistan and produced a child of its own, also born in Pakistan, then UK law would recognise it as Pakistani although the Pakistanis might not.

And what if you're born on an aeroplane or ship over or in international waters, does that make you Man From Atlantis? I don't think so! You are whatever is in your parents genes, wherever you are born.

And if you want to be pedantic about it, theres no such nationality as welsh, english or scottish....only british. Not that I recognise that of course!

only if you are a british citizen or not subject to immigration control.....

course scottish is a nationality, welsh could be dubious cos its not a country but a pricipality .
but scotland is without question a seperate country therefore a seperate nationality

bit traumatic here - yesterday my daughter (18) trashed her car...little clio she's only had three months, drove it up the kerb right outside the local army barracks guardroom at about 40 mph (probably eyeing up the squaddies) and did £2500 worth of damage so thats a write-off, then today the bailiffs come round and present an eviction notice cos the landords been repossesed, got three weeks to get out and only halfway through renovating the house I bought so its gonna be a bit hectic!

Things are sent to try us eh?!
