What people dont realise and dont get to hear is that cops are very very reluctant to open fire. Life is precious but sometimes needs must.
When people criticise the use of firearms I often mention an incident that was described to me.A local armed cop was grabbed , tightly, by a local loony with a knife. He ducked his head and was waiting for his colleague, who had drawn, to take the shot on the attacker. He could have lawfully and safely done just that. Instead he actually jumped forward and pistol whipped him
Thats the lengths armed cops go to in order to keep things safe.
Its good to read the comments on this thread, what normal (or as close as
) people think about people like the gunman. thanks folks
