Default donations for an off road scooter

Well I am going to get the ball rolling, and pledge £50 now towards an off road scooter, if the mods need to start this as a new thread etc then please do so, Rick

Default Overwhelmed

Hi all, I am overwhelmed by your generousity at this time, this disease knows no bounds, I am able to stand with the aid of two carers and a zimmer but that to me is amazing and only made possible by the work done with physio and hydrotherapy ,stretching my now ever decreasing muscles, tne disease has started to effect shoulder muscles but my forearms are ok.My niece Lauren has organised a walk from Monmouth to Chepstow which is the last 30mls of the Offa's Dyke Path, which as yet not completed, and the is called "Never Known To Fail",which has always been my motto, mainly for family and friends, or anyone for that matter with the donations going to the MND society who are struggling tokeep up with the larger well known charities, MND is quite rare about 1 in 1000 people and no reason why but usually active people. It will be12 months on the 21st Dec ( my birthday ) that I had the flu and 10 days later, getting up in Jan with beginning of MND, My Border Collie Mac and I had walked 100's of miles but sadly he died 3 weeks ago aged 13, he seemed to know of my ailment has would liickk my legs to try and stimulate them when I fell over. As for the generous offer for the off road mobility scooter I was thinking of hiring one for the duration of the walk, anything else would be a unbeliveable.

PS Any questions you need answering please contact me

Default Still Overwhelmed

Thank you again,
Mac was my walking partner for over 12yrs, he and I walked all over the UK long and short paths, there was one time on Dartmoor and it was a lovely day and suddenly the fog came down and I could not see a foot in front of me, totally disorientated, I decided to stay put until the fog lifted, but an hour later still no change, then MAC got up started walking around and I followed and what seemed like ages, finally got me to a lane and to were I had left the Terrano, I know I should have a compass but it was a beautiful day ( big mistake ) . So MAC will be finishing the walk in the form of his ashes in his casket after his cremation.

PS I will reimburse the subs for this year x

This is not just a club it is a community, and while we may not be able to fund the direct purchase of an off road scooter, I guess this would be fairly expensive, but I am sure we will be able to fund the hire of one for the duration, my heart goes out to you and I am sure many others on here feel the same, so come on members lets get this sorted, Rick

Do you have a mobility scooter to finish the walk? if so does it need modifying?
If neither do you have an amount of money you need to buy or as rick has said hire one?
