Thanks for that Pete, it is Iroko, and the join will be 600 mm corner and I am not sure about the oiling as it will/may effect the bond, it also has a Belfast sink that they have designed the WT to "but" to the sides and back of the sink with no WT at the front and about 10 mm higher but the sink is not perfectly straight on the sides, I think it would have been better to have the WT sitting on the sink, what are your thoughts, Rick

Aim to get stuck and be completely self sufficient in extraction, love getting muddy, 2ft deep is good but rare.

I always have a Belfast under top with Worktop over hanging about 25mm to the 3 sides. I cut a trenched "drip" about 5 mm deep on the underside about 10mm back to stop water running back along underside of top

Here's one I did a couple of years ago

They are shit btw, I'd never have one, most customers hate them after a couple of weeks unless they have a dish washer and its just for show, as they are so deep your back aches from bending over

I usually talk customers out of having one

I am a electronics engineer, working in production. Only a small business but we ship worldwide most days.

Also do some of the packing of the stuff we make.

that sounds like how I would design it, makes perfect sense, as they have fitted the sink already I do not know if it can be altered, perhaps I should stay quiet, but problem is making a nice job of the sink WT junction all I can think of is a nice bead of brown silicon but it will not be long lived, or as the WT is about 10 mm higher put a rebate so the 10 mm bit overhangs but it does not give me a lot to play with for a drip groove, and also the block joins will be weakened, ??? Rick

Totally agree, would not have one even if gifted, but cannot talk them out of it as he has done all the rest himself and made a nice job, although not to my taste, but he baulked at the WT as has no router etc, only got involved cos the front door 3 ft x 7 ft timber half glazed has rotted and will have to be replaced, Rick

Much respect for the grey Fergie although I'm an International man myself... and it is nice having a cab and power steering!

The majority of it is aimed at broadcast company's and related businesses.
