Composite smelly glue colour coded to work top. Then much sanding and increasing grades to whatever shine or sheen finish punter wants
Router and random orb sander, big piss off vacuum and masks

I fabbed the Worktops from lg himacs. I form a sub straight from mdf then the Himacs comes in 12mm thick sheets, I form the edges by building it downwards with rips glued and clamped then it all gets routered and sanded up

The red boiler taps were dropped into recesses that I routered out by hand working to a clamp on straight edge and corners done free hand ( my arse was twitching I can tell thee )

Very nice, do not think I would have the patience now, best I can handle is formica and joins with a router, although have been asked to do a wood block WT next week that has been oiled, so not sure if my plastic router base will mark it never done one before, but hope to do it from the underside, as it is square edged and use a waste but cramped on the edge to stop it splitting, any other tips would be gratefully received, such as the best glue to use on the one corner joint with biscuits and bolts, Rick

I do square edged oak with my ts55 plunge saw now, really quick, only use router for Belfast sinks

But just use your router as you would if doing laminate, except I just do A but joint in corner no need for butt and scribe joint with jig, and your router base won't mark the oak

Biscuit joint it and only glue if it's a short length. You should allow for the oak to move. So a good silicone will suffice for the joint and then bolt clamps to keep the joint tight

WoW, what an abundance of varied trades etc,will be depending on you to run this country when it goes tits up, I myself worked in the steel industry, galvanising mainly and some plastic coated steels hp200,for 30yrs, then volunteered for redundancy at 50 never looked back,iv'e been making trailers-gates and-ballastrade since the 80s, retired now and looking after both terranos and taking caravan down narrow lanes where the grass grows in the middle,

Lg himacs ? is that the same as Corian ?

Yes mate. Corians overpriced. Better colours from lg IMO.

Also use Hanex which is Korean, some interesting colours from these also.
