Default First steps

Hi All!

New to the site. I have recently bought a 1997 Nissan Patrol GR SLX TD 2.8. I had an old rusty Disco and was looking for another Disco (not rusty) when I stumbled on this little beauty. It had 70k on the clock striaght as a dye and FSH.

Thats where my knowledge of 4x4's and patrols ends. I want to maintain this vehicle and run it forever, I don't mind getting my hands dirty, so where should I start?

* What should I be looking for in regards to common faults and/or
problems

* Where do I go for cheap spare parts.

* Where do I get technical info (servicing, maintenance etc)

Thanks for looking and hopfully this is the start of a long, fruitful and happy relationship with patrols

Miff

come on in miff, plenty of troll owners here, several with the 2.8
all who praise the 6cyl smoothness and longivety.

theres quite a good number of nissan owners here in god's own
county too, so you will have access to local info/members too.
