Hi everyone.
Sorry to take so long to introduce myself. Would like to say what a great site this is even for someone like me that has the mechanical aptitude of a housefly. I have owned a 2.7td maverick for last six months and have not stopped paying for it since, exhaust, diesel tank developed a leak, clutch pipe ruptured, to name the most recent. The most annoying problem at present being the front wheels don’t lock when in four wheel drive. After reading the comments in previous forums have ordered manual hubs from Milners today. Can anyone confirm that I can drive on the road in two wheel drive with the hubs locked to save me jumping in and out when of road, as quite often need to travel a few miles on road between farm.
Cheers and thanks for all the useful stuff. JasonL |

Hello Jasonl
Welcome to the club, sounds like your well experienced in the repair of your Mav. As for manual hubs you will have no problem driving on the road with them locked when in 2wd, you will just have a little worse fuel consumption. |
