auto hubs........ i know i had to say it

looking at the download for cleaning

where are the snap / brake rings ?

is cleaning that easy ?

no im planning to clean my auto hubs but cant see the snap rings on the cleaning download , so wonered where they are

so i know what im looking for and to look for signs of wear or damage

Try the manual - have to say I'm not over enthusiastic with that download - copperslip is not a lubricant, its a carrier for a copper coating to prevent siezing - use proper grease.

Anyway the picture you are after is

im doing mine today because they are not working, just going to put them in the cleaning cabinet, then fill with oil (read that in a previous post?) and see how they go then, if no good will have to fit manuals when i can afford them.

The oil thing is to free up old grease - suggest you grease them - oil will run out ultimately.

Yes I got my manual hubs from milners off road had a few things from them all good pair of hubs including vat and carriage cost me 149.52

Mine are great ask Sam
You can get kits for them as well to revamp your autos I did that but it broke again so gave up and fitted the manuals no probs since

thanks for that info, Terranosaurus, so it's a wash out and a grease up then, can't do them today as it's raining, will try again sunday.

ok got them off and all nice and clean nothing broken. only problem is

the thing i beleive is the snap ring should that fit into the big washer tightly
on one side its a tight fit and the other its just flopping around

any help or pics would be great
