New Heart Failure Drug - Entresto

For those here with a heart ejection fraction rate of 40% or below - I've been put on Entresto to replace Losartan. I had been down to 35% and my last check was 41% so I was marginally over the threshold. Local HF Clinic have been brilliant so far - they got the Consultant to agree - I suspect it's an expensive drug being newish.

I've only been on the new drugs for 5 days but the improvement is substantial. My breathlessness at night time has subsided and my coughing when I try to get to sleep has also improved. There might be more improvements to come over the next few weeks.

As yet no side effects though I do not go looking for them plus I have been able to return to a more normal daily fluid intake with no consequences as yet.

I was finding it difficult to stay around a 1.7 litres a day total fluids.
