Just a cheapo off eBay. I had the same on my old truck & it served me well

Looks like a previous owner had one fitted before

Monkey looking very uninterested

My Patrol came with one fitted by a previous owner, works good for trailer coupling but needs adjusting for general reversing as can only see the ball coupling, so a bit short on notice for parking, Rick

Great stuff. I copied your idea first time around and did again on the 3 litre, have to say original one is still far better than the version I fitted on the 3 litre.

Rick.

I fitted the new camera in the same place as my old one which was bang on with the coloured lines. I've yet to try it out for accuracy.

Jim.
What made you fit a different one to your 3 litre?

I wanted a better monitor as the ball joint got slack on old one. So got a folding monitor for top of dash but came with a wireless camera which was poop and stopped working. Got the same kit again so I had the same camera as yours and although works good in bright sunlight it swamps the camera and causes the screen to flash.

Here’s the screen in the 3litre, found a plastic panel just holds it open at the right angle to see it as a temporary fix which is still there.

Thats the same as I fitted in Jiggley, but I put a stop in the slider so it stops at the right angle

Just like you, the wireless camera died, so I fitted one that mounts in a hole, in the rear bumper. That one comes on when you select reverse, and I have a spare Waeco camera that I fitted on the roof, for normal driving.

Anyone have any links of cameras that they recommend, I could do with one for the new truck.

The camera and monitor Pete has are around £20 or less on eBay, just search reversing cameras and you’ll see loads.
