who's got the biggest wheels on a t2

my 31" at's actually measure 29.5" and i have room to go to 32-33" with my offset. if i trim the arches at 9 o clock on the front.

but as the tyres are going to be quite an expense i only want to buy them the once. the tyre place down here has offered to fit some on, to make sure they fit before i buy. once i have trimmed it.

i guess thats quite lucky. if im really lucky ill get his 33" tyres cheep when he changes his to 35"

i dont think this year is going to be that good money wise so i wont be body lifting or spending thousands on big spring lifts.

ill be happy at 33's

its as good as most lany's around here and better than some now anyway

and lets face it i still have to use this usually 70-80 miles a day

But remember the front wheels pull backwards in 4WD so you don't have as much room between the tyre & arch as it looks

I'm running 31s at the moment(well was before the tree stopped me)and they actually measure 30",but are very square treaded! They are well worn mind you. The ones I'm putting on are Khumo venture M/T and are 285/75/16s, which works out at 32.8" and 11.2" wide theoretically. I've got 60mm spacers to lift the body and HBs super springs to do. So hope with a bit more wind up at the front AND my spacers, I dont need to cut the actual inner bulkhead bit. At the mo just flattened the bottom of the wing and removed mudflap for the 31s. The new setup will be more cut wing below the waist line and huge mud flaps.

Any ideas guys were I could get a set of these large mud flaps, can't find a set anywhere, and will certainly get some new pics on here ASAP of the tyres and stuff

I got mone off a bloke on ebay. He was advertising the ordinary rally type ones but also sells the big silicone ones.
They about 4mm thick and you trim them to suit.
I'll try and find a link, but it was a few months back I bought them.

Goodness that guy goes drivel on - 3mm as seen on WRC cars - etc etc.

WRC cars use Kaylan, fullstop, that it, there is no substitute, theres a few sets of Kaylan available on ebay ready shaped to fit, notice they are all cars that are actually rallied at top level and thus the moulds have been made. Done the search for you - HERE

If you want good mudflaps that will last and not go brittle and crack when cold or wear out etc give Kaydee plastics a call, they make and sell the stuff, it comes in all sorts of grades, some suitable for sumpguards others for mudflaps and a host of other uses too
