Default Help !!!!!!!

Yes I know I'm not new, but apparently I am a dumbass.

Looking through my credit bill tonight and I thought "hang on a mo' "

Unauthorised transaction via PayPal. So I start a case with PayPal and think "ha, sorted"

Funny thing tho'. Can't access the Forum.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah !!!!!!!

I have now cancelled the case on PayPal and explained that I am a complete doofuss.

However I still can't log on to Forum.

Could someone with more sense than me please help. If it comes to it I'll just pay another tenner as punishment for being a tw*t.

I throw myself on the mercy of the moderators.

I'm never gonna hear the end of this from Zac, spent most of the day taking the pi** out of him.

Is this a good time for a Pan-Pan call?

Mate I can't mock, I've done that myself once before and it turned out to be something important

Sorry I've only just seen this, I was fairly busy last night on the motor in the garage

Exclamation Unauthorised TRansactions !

Reminded me of an incident about 5 years ago I saw a transaction on my Credit Card for £670 odd quid and it was cash taken by an Insurance Company. As it happened it was a Company that one of my vehicles was insured with so I did a few checks and I had paid for the premium in full some 3 months earlier.

Strange thought I so I contacted my card issuer Barclays and they put the transaction on "Hold as Disputed" so it would not accumulate any charges and they told me to get in touch with the Insurance Company for a refund.

I rang the said Insurance Company and they found my details and sure enough they confirmed that I had paid my Premium some 3 months previously and denied taking the £670 odd pounds.

I then told them about the unauthorised transaction and gave them the transaction reference from my card statement. A long silence and then put me onto the Supervisor who said they would credit me immediately on the same credit card. I asked whose Insurance Premium I had paid and for some sort of explaination and was told under Data Protection Laws they could not tell me !

I even suggested that perhaps when the mystery person paid for the Premium perhaps the Call Center Operator got the list of surnames on the drop down menu maybe they just clicked on the wrong initial ?

I asked them if they had retained my card details when I paid over the phone and again was given the Data Protection Line. I pointed out it was my Data so there was no conflict under Data Protection. Brick wall. I wrote to them by recorded delivery and asked them to delete my Credit Card Details from their records and asked for a written explaination.

Never got a reply so I asked my Card Issuer for a replacement Card and cancelled it. When renewal time came I went elsewhere. I now insist that whenever I pay on my card over the phone that they do not retain my card details for renewals or any repeat transactions similar with online transactions. Interestingly American Express do not allow such data to be retained by a retailer. That might in part explain why many will not accept American Express.

Trouble with PayPal is you have to allow the retention but I do not link it to e-bay for "Easier Payment". As a buffer all my PayPal transactions go onto a Credit Card that I use only for online transactions despite the efforts by PayPal I will not give them my Bank Current Account Details even though they try to make you with the various stages of verification process.

For future reference, is there any way to contact a moderator if you can't log in?
