snh says it all steel for strength and alloy for looks.if you dont go off road ally for me.mind you i went off with alloys.

Generally steels for offroading yes. However there are more industrial alloys around for offroading with
I have some excels that were made in Japan as after market offroad alloys for Toyota.
Took a while but I eventually got a set

I looked at the standard 17" y61 facelift alloys as they look the dogs
But in comparison to the alloys of unknown origin that I ended up with looked pretty weeak so it's Alloys for me

I was looking at buying some new steel wheels and tyres yesterday, but they only came with oversized hubs making them lugcentric putting all the stress on the bolts rather than hub centric wheels so decided to stick with my alloys.

Terrano is nut centric (6 of them look you ). The hubs are never load bearing on these trucks

Modular is just the style of steel wheel, with round holes.
Mine are D mods with you guessed it D shaped holes.
Weller style have the eight spokes like Weller's.
Prefer the alloy for looks
