Depending on out come of plug in tomorrow I maybe having to change injector pump so is it difficult?

I have slight adavantage as I have body lift and can get to it through the wheel arch easier.

I take it theres nothing to do with immobiliser in it so providing its a working pump and I get the timing right is it just a case of refitting etc?

yes but body lift will not help much, rad out, PS pump off and tie out of the way, injector pipes off including the brackets, do not try and bend them, they carry 2000 psi and once bent and pulled back to refit are likely to fracture, vac pump off, plate over gear off, turn engine to TDC till pulley marks line up, undo pulley nut, use puller to extract gear, watch for the woodruff key if loose fit remove it cos if lost in engine bad news, refitting the gear can be tricky as the teeth are not straight cut so will turn a little as it goes in this is the time when a loose fitting woodruff key can be dislodged and fall into engine, other than that straight forward, Rick

nice reply and i will add the rear mounting bracket is a pig to get to,well from floor for me it was, also vacume pomp one of the bolts has a nut on the front take that off and then undo the bolt. good luck i did mine ok.my replacement pump was from rick.
are you sure ip is fkd.
i managed to leave gear in situe and got pump and key in one go.

Not sure its knackard yet will no more dinner time when it gets plugged in as paperclip test brings up code 96 and cant find that code anywhere so get brothers garage to plug her in and hopefully speak to her nicely to reveal a simple fix

Sending you all the luck I have spare at the moment mate as I really don't envy that job however weirdly intrigued by it so make sure you take plenty pics of it!!!

I'm considering another holiday down by you just to come and watch/help :lol

More than welcome bud. I have removed one few months back off my spare engine and sold it and didn't take half hour but engine is lying on the floor. If I get the nod that it is pump it'll be removed tomorrow and yeah will do a write up and pictures. Been speak with the all mighty rick and got alot of inffo from the great man so shouldn't be too bad. I've rebuilt enough Scooby engines so this didn't aught to be to bad

When ecu light comes on. If you turn ignition off and then back on the ecu light goes out.
